Shreyas Iyer won the toss for the fourth straight match on Friday and chose to bowl first at Eden Park in Auckland. The fourth Twenty20 international against New Zealand proceeds despite India holding a 3-0 series lead.

The venue is sold out for the contest. Coach Gautam Gambhir has instructed the team to view the final two games as a separate series. Iyer stated, "We're going to leave no stone unturned. It is important to be ruthless no matter what the results have been so far."

Bowling first secured victories in the prior three games. India won those matches by four wickets, four wickets, and six wickets respectively. New Zealand aims to recover from a heavy defeat in the third match played in Wellington on Tuesday.

India opener Abishek Sharma scored a century off 35 balls during that loss. The team made two lineup adjustments for Friday. Ishan Kishan replaced Vaibhav Sooryanvanshi, who had shared a 133-run opening partnership with Sharma in Wellington. Mayank Yadav also entered the squad in place of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

New Zealand named one replacement in Nathan Smith, who takes the spot of Kyle Jamieson. The match concludes the five-match series. India currently leads 3-0.

The full playing XI for New Zealand includes Finn Allen, Tim Seifert, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Bevon Jacobs, Michael Bracewell, Mitchell Santner, Nathan Smith, Adam Milne, Jacob Duffy, and Matt Fisher. India's lineup features Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Naman Dhir, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mayank Yadav, and Prince Yadav.
