Queensland police reported that four individuals sustained gunshot wounds outside a licensed venue in Loganholme, a suburb south of Brisbane. Officers responded to the location at 8:15 p.m. after receiving reports that a vehicle had fired shots. The suspect vehicle was observed leaving the scene, and the four injured persons were transported to a hospital for condition assessments.

The incident occurred at Fitzys Loganholme on Bryants Road, which was hosting the Logan City Titles Fight Night. Deputy Commander Chris Stream described the scene as confronting and confirmed that multiple people had been shot. Police stated that the offenders remain at large, though they do not believe the public faces an ongoing threat. Investigators have asked for information from witnesses to help identify the shooters.

Logan Mayor Jon Raven spoke to the local media regarding the impact on the community. He noted that residents in the area were frightened by the event. Raven stated that the shooting sent a shockwave through Logan, a region where he said such incidents were previously rare. He emphasized that the night was intended to be a family-friendly environment, often attended by many children.

Raven said the organizers had structured the event to steer young people away from violence. He described the organizer as someone who uses boxing to empower youth and help those at risk reconnect with their communities. The mayor expressed concern that the incident would have a lasting effect on the participants and staff present that evening.

The event organizers released a statement on social media on Sunday morning. They described themselves as heartbroken by the incident that occurred at the fight night. The group characterized the event as a community showcase for local talent and hard work inside the ring. They stated that such incidents have no place in the boxing community or the wider neighborhood.

The four injured individuals are currently under medical care while their conditions are evaluated. The venue is located on Bryants Road in Loganholme. Police continue to search for the suspects who fled the scene in a vehicle. The fight night was scheduled for Saturday evening, marking the Logan City Titles event.

Raven attended similar boxing nights in the past and recalled the atmosphere as welcoming to families. He said the organizer would be devastated by the outcome of the evening. The mayor added that the incident runs counter to the organizer's goal of using the sport to bring young people together and support their development.
