Tesla released a detailed look at the interior technology of its next generation Roadster on Friday afternoon. The company shared a thirty four second video on the social platform X. This clip offers the most comprehensive view yet of the car's touchscreen experience. The accompanying text noted that the design draws from fighter jet cockpits. It is structured to put the pilot at the center of the operation.

The demonstration starts with a black screen and red graphics. A three dimensional wireframe of the car appears next to a squared off yoke. Users can tap different parts of this digital model. This action opens controls for the rear wing. Drivers can choose between low drag and high downforce positions. The interface also includes a charging page with a limit bar. A compact music player is also visible. A row of navigation tabs sits at the bottom of the screen. These tabs are labeled Home, Vehicle, Listen, Climate, and Navigate.

A large part of the video focuses on Track Mode. The dashboard shows a live circuit map in this setting. It also lists session lap times. Real time data for brake and motor temperatures is displayed. The screen provides specific pressure and temperature readouts for each individual tire. A setup page allows drivers to select from four aero modes. These options are Auto, Low Drag, High Downforce, and Custom. Users can also adjust aero and brake balance. They can switch off stability and traction control.

A status bar at the bottom of the Track Mode screen shows specific text. It reads Thruster 5,500 PSI alongside a Boost Ready indicator. This software feature connects to hardware Tesla showed near Waco, Texas on October 15. The Thrust and Rocket versions use cold gas thrusters. These thrusters are supplied by carbon overwrapped pressure vessels.

Previous breakdowns of the three Roadster configurations provide performance data. The Thrust and Rocket models can reach sixty miles per hour in under 0.9 seconds and under 0.59 seconds respectively. The base Performance model uses a fan and ground sealing system for grip. The aero settings on the screen match active wings and suction setups. These were detailed in earlier analyses of how the car generates downforce.

The interior layout differs from Tesla's current lineup. The home page centers a model of the car rather than a map. The company's official page lists two smaller forward displays. These accompany the main touchscreen. Tesla has not said if Track Mode telemetry will appear in other models. The Model 3 Performance is one such potential vehicle.

The interface may still change before deliveries start. Elon Musk stated at a recent event that production is scheduled for 2028. Tesla noted that the flagship Rocket version is not yet approved for public roads. Reservations are open with a payment of fifty thousand dollars. The Thrust model is a limited release. The Rocket version is available on an invite only basis.

The public can see the vehicle in person this weekend. The Roadster will be displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The event runs from October 24 to 27. Sawyer Merritt said this is the first time the general public can view the car up close.
