Capital City Bank Group Foundation awarded $25,000 to nonprofit organizations in Cobb County on November 4, 2026. The financial support was distributed to local groups serving the community.
The foundation operates as a separate nonprofit entity created in 1983 by Capital City Bank Group, Inc. Since its inception, the organization has provided annual donations for 43 consecutive years. This current distribution continues that long-standing pattern of support for local charitable efforts.
The foundation stated its commitment to accessibility in a written statement. It affirmed a belief that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone. The organization aims to adhere to the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines address needs for blind users, people with motor impairments, those with visual impairments, and individuals with cognitive disabilities.
To meet these standards, the foundation’s website uses an AI-based application that runs in the background. This tool optimizes accessibility levels by remediating HTML and adapting functionality for screen readers and keyboard users. The system provides accurate form labels and descriptions for actionable icons. It also scans images to provide alternate text tags and extracts embedded text using optical character recognition technology.
Users with specific disabilities can adjust the website’s interface to their personal needs. Screen reader users receive a prompt to enter a specific profile upon entering the site. The system is compatible with popular tools like JAWS and NVDA. Keyboard users can navigate the site using standard keys such as Tab, Shift+Tab, and Enter. Quick navigation menus are available to help users jump to specific elements like menus, headings, and forms.
The foundation supports major browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera, and Microsoft Edge. It also supports assistive technologies for both Windows and Mac users. The organization noted that while it strives for full accessibility, some pages may still be in the process of becoming fully accessible. The foundation continues to update its features and adopt new technologies to improve the user experience.
The next scheduled event for the foundation has not been detailed in the immediate release. The organization remains focused on its annual cycle of grants and digital accessibility improvements.
