Tammy Bishop is asking the public to help locate a specific piece of jewelry: the wedding ring her husband, Will Mulroy, lost in Las Vegas on October 20. The couple had just finished their ceremony at the Viva Las Vegas Chapel when the band went missing.
Bishop described the evening as a celebration on a party bus touring the Strip. At a bar, Mulroy looked down and realized the ring was gone. She recalled that he began to cry immediately. He told her the ring had been two sizes too large because he had recently lost weight. Bishop believes it may have slid off while he transferred into his wheelchair or rolled down the street.
The couple backtracked their steps and asked the bus driver to help search. No one found the band. The next morning, Bishop joked that he had lost it in less than 24 hours. The group laughed. She told him it was not a big deal and that they would buy him a new one.
That reassurance changed after Mulroy died on October 23, three days after their marriage. Bishop said he was in significant pain on the drive home to South Dakota and mentioned needing the emergency room. The following morning, he was congested, and she told him not to go to work. She could not wake him and called 911. Doctors declared him brain dead after he was placed on life support for 24 hours. His heart stopped three times in the emergency room.
The loss of the ring now carries a different weight for Bishop. She met Mulroy in July 2023. They began dating in March 2024. A week later, a motorcycle accident left him paralyzed. He asked her to marry him repeatedly. On her birthday, October 4, he told her the Vegas wedding was planned and booked. He described the day as perfect and said he was on cloud nine.
Mulroy worked at Fleet Farm and had experience with party buses. The couple had plans to start their own party bus business. Bishop described him as savvy and mechanically inclined, a man who fixed things without calling for help. The rings had been blessed before the ceremony.
Bishop hopes a stranger will find the ring and return it. She said the band represented how much the marriage meant to Mulroy. Now that he is gone, she said it means a lot to her.
