Brewers bullpen coach Charlie Greene is bringing a customized protective cup to the World Series that displays the logos and jersey numbers of both the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Greene has spent 22 years within the Brewers organization, establishing a long-term connection with the club and the city of St. Petersburg. His son, Garrett Greene, currently serves as a wide receiver on the Buccaneers' practice squad. The family link drives the design of the equipment Greene uses during games.

The custom cup was designed by Diamond MMA. It features Charlie's number, 88, and the Brewers logo on the upper portion. The lower portion displays Garrett's number, 85, and the Buccaneers logo. Greene describes the item as a standard part of his uniform that he wears consistently.

“My number is on top, and his is on the bottom,” Greene said. “We’re representing the Bucs and the Brewers here.”

Garrett is working to secure a spot on the active roster after transitioning from quarterback to wide receiver at the professional level. His father monitors his progress in Tampa Bay while managing his duties in Milwaukee.

“Garrett is on the P-squad trying to get active. But he’s enjoyed his time,” Greene said. “It’s tough making the conversion at the pro level. He’s done well going from quarterback to wide receiver. He’s in a great room down there. He enjoys those guys.”

When practice schedules permitted, Garrett traveled to Milwaukee to watch his father's team play. Greene noted that Garrett has known the Brewers for 22 years, a tenure that solidified his allegiance to the baseball club.
